Friday, October 3 – Annual Meeting
It is important that we have a good turn out for the election of new officers. This will be a pot luck dinner, so please bring something for all of us to enjoy.
Meeting Time & Location: 6:30 PM at York Township Recreational Building, 25 Oak St.

Meetings/events  is inside the York Township Recreation Building, directions as follows:

From I-83 exit 16, take Queen St (PA-74) south for about 1 mile.  At Campbell Music, turn left onto Oak St.  Drive about a tenth of a mile and stop at the stop sign; do not turn right.  Drive straight ahead past the township building to the small building in the middle of the field.

Saturday, October 4 – AT Work Trip
We will divide into two groups. Some will carpool from the 147 lot to Garber Lane. We must consolidate all our tools, materials, and some people into four vehicles. The hiking group will make the 1.5-mile trek from Rt. 147 to the shelter together utilizing the A.T. and the blue blazed Susquehanna Trail. Volunteers should bring a lunch, snacks, and plenty of water. We recommend choosing clothes you are willing to wear while painting. Wear boots or sturdy footwear. Tools, gloves, and safety gear are provided. You can bring your own gloves if you prefer to do so. We will likely work in the field until about 3:00 - 3:30 PM. We stay flexible to adjust to weather and site conditions.

Meeting Time & Location: 8:00 AM at Rt. 147 Park-N-Ride lot
Team Leader: Matt Wilson 717-439-4366

Saturday, October 11 – Columbus Day weekend long hike (11-13 miles)
This challenging hike is exploring Worthington State Forest of Kittatinny Mt at Delaware Water Gap on NJ side of river. We start at parking lot PA side then walk across bridge to Red Dot trail hiking up to view Mt. Tammany, then take Blue Blaze trail to Dunfield Creek trail. Along this trail we'll pass old Sawmill Ruins, cross creek few times so feet may get wet depending on water level that week. Then hike on to circle Sunfish Pond- a natural lake atop mountain, then return via AT to parking lot. There are a couple of rocky sections rated difficult, so not a beginner hike! This is out and back so no shuttle needed. Dress for weather, wear strong hiking boots, and bring lots of water, lunch, snacks and poles if desired. If hikers wish a couple more miles, we can see Beulahland trail off AT.

Meeting Time & Location: 6:30 AM  Boscov's East Parking Red Robin restaurant at the Galleria Mall with Irina or 6:45AM at the National Watch and Clock Museum, 514 Poplar St., Columbia PA 17512

There are several attractions to see along the trail. Some are obvious and some are partially hidden. Bring hiking poles if you want. There are very few inclines. Bring snacks and water with you. We will take stop midway.
