SUNDAY, MARCH 7 - SHORT HIKE (4 MILES): Hike trail 3 at Lake Redman. The hike will involve some back tracking, but we will see if we can find the mini–Jacobus Town Park.
Meeting Location: Lake Redman Activity Area by the gazebo near the water. Departure Time: 1:00 PM

SUNDAY, MARCH 14 – DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME BEGINS – LONG HIKE (12 MILES): We’ll take a meandering loop in Michaux State Forest using some multiuse trails, forest roads, and a bit of the Appalachian Trail. Bring, water, snacks, lunch, hiking shoes/boots, and a distorted sense of distance. The hike will begin and end at the Peggy’s Hill Parking Area on Old Forge Road. If you know where that is (there is no address, but you can Google it), feel free to meet there at 9:00 AM. If not, meet at the meeting location below and we’ll caravan over.

SUNDAY, MARCH 21 – MEDIUM HIKE (7 Miles): Hiking to Pole Steeple Overlook at Pine Grove State Park. This has some very steep climbs but the view at the overlook is worth it. Bring water, snacks, and a lunch. We will start at the Fuller Lake Day Use Area parking lot.

SUNDAY, MARCH 28 – MEDIUM HIKE (8 MILES): Hike the Ranger Trail at Codorus State Park. The Ranger Trail is a multi-use trail primarily designed for horses, but there are sections of the trail that are overcrowded by low lying shrub. Bring water, snacks, and a lunch.

) if you are interested in the volunteering for the Secretary tole for the club. As a YHC Board Member, the club Secretary will help shape and direct the club, maintain meeting notes, and write letters for the club concerning YHC mission.
Sawyer Training: If anyone is interested in attending a two day class to get certified as a chainsaw operator on the AT let Tom Morley know,
. This is for new sawyers only, if you need a recert Tom will let you know. Date: April 24-25. Place: Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, near Hamburg, Pa. Respond to Tom ASAP if interested.
1. Stay home if you, or anyone in your family, are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19, or have been in contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19.
2. Optional but recommend is carrying a CDC-approved mask and alcohol-based hand sanitizer
3. Practice social distancing of 6 feet apart. Masks should be worn when social distancing is not possible (PA Universal Face Covering Order). Example is when passing people on a trail.
4. No more than 25 people in a group (PA Guidelines). (continued)
5. Carpooling will not be provided by York Hiking Club. If personally carpooling and not from the same household, then mask should be worn.
6. All club hikes will be loop or out-and-back hikes which do not need carpooling.

* "If there are no objections within 10 days" refers to things like almost getting a hike kicked out of a park.
