Sunday, August 3, Short Hike at Spring Valley Park (3-4 miles): This will be 2 loops in beautiful Spring Valley Park. Loop 1 is Red rectangle trail which has a small hill and is through woods. We will cross a small bridge and hike along the creek. Loop 2 is along gravel road for short walk past an old farmhouse to White trail over creek again then flat trail along creek through woods hearing birds, may see deer and other wildlife before returning to parking lot. Wear hiking shoes, bring plenty of water, lunch, snacks, poles and water shoes (for creek wading) if desired.

Saturday August 16, Short Hike (5 Miles): Hike on the rail trail from Glatfelter Station to Hanover Junction. I like this part of the rail trail because it offers lot’s to see and it’s an easy walk. The Codorus Creek is close by, some farm houses with grazing cows are on the side of the trail and the highlight is Hanover Junction where President Lincoln stopped on his way to Gettysburg. All you need is good shoes, water, and possibly a snack to join in the fun.

Saturday, August 23, King’s Gap (6.3 miles): We hike 6.3 miles of the web of trails at King's Gap Environmental Education Center. We will visit all three vistas of the Cumberland Valley. The leader has not hiked it yet (but will), but it is unlikely to have challenging trail conditions. Bring a lunch.
