Saturday, August 3, Medium Hike, 6 miles
We will meet at Brillhart Station and take a 6-mile hike towards Glatfelter Station. This is not a difficult
hike. Bring plenty of water and good shoes. After the hike we can drive to Perry Dell Farm for some
ice
cream and fellowship.

Sunday August 10: NO HIKE LEADER
Saturday, August 17, Governor Dick Tower Hike, 5 miles
This is a favorite hike of mine with varied terrain and fun to climb to the lookout Tower to enjoy the
views. We will stop for a break/snack at the Tower.
Meeting Location: Pinch Road Memorial Rock Parking
lot, .5 mile past entrance to visitor center on Pinch
Road. Directions to Clarence Schock Memorial Park - From York route 30 east to 72 north Manheim
Pike, then left on Pinch Rd. then approximately 1.6 miles to Memorial Rock Parking lot.

Sunday, August 18, Medium hike on Darlington Trail west, 7 miles
On this loop hike, we'll explore Darlington Trail between Lambs Gap and Millers Gap on Blue Mountain
West of Harrisburg. This is an older hiking trail in this part of state, established by Alpine Club of PA in
Early 1900's. Trail traverses ridge through pretty forest of Birch, Hickory, Pine and hardwood trees plus
Wildflowers are abundant here during spring. This area is prime habitat for White-tailed deer. There may
Be a swampy area at Trout Run so you can bring extra shoes to change on return to car. This is moderate
Hike which takes approximately 4 hours. Wear sturdy hiking shoes, bring plenty of water, snacks and
Lunch.

Sunday, August 25, Medium Shuttle Hike, 7 miles
We will start at Apollo County Park and will end with a deep descent to Fishing Creek. This a difficult
hike with many ups and downs with several rocky sections. Highlights of the hike will include great
Views of the Susquehanna River, Cuffs Run and a possible eagle sighting. Wear hiking boots or trail
running shoes. Bring a lunch or snacks and plenty of water.
Meeting Location: Wrightsville exit at the park-n-ride by Dollar General
Meeting Time: 8:00 a.m.
Car Pool Fee: $3.00
