to the York Hiking Club Newsletter, a complete monthly listing of hikes,
work trips, special events and announcements.
All are welcome to come on out on a hike to see what the club is all about.
A welcome sheet is handed out at every hike. This sheet has all you need to join and get on the mailing list.

Sunday, August 6, Medium Hike (6 - 8 miles): On this hike, we'll explore Victoria Trail which crosses AT on Peters Mt to Joseph Ibberson Conservation Area then take Whitetail trail then back to Victoria trail down to parking lot. There may be small hill at beginning. Then after short drive we'll explore Boyd Big Tree Preserve Conservation Area in foothills of Blue Mt for a few more easy miles. These are out and back hikes. Bring plenty of ice water, snacks, lunch, bug spray and wear sturdy hiking shoes. Extreme hot weather may cancel. Let's get out to explore some more of Pennsylvania's beautiful woods!

Sunday, August 20, short Hike (4 Miles): A leisurely ramble on the Heritage Rail Trail from Brillhart Station to the Howard Tunnel and back. Depending on the weather we can shorten or lengthen the hike.
Meeting Location: Brillhart Station
Meeting Time: 11 a.m.

Sunday, August 27, short Hike (5 Miles): A 5 mile hike rambling around the trails at Pinchot Park. There is no definite plan but we will try and make it interesting. We are not fast hikers but are not as slow as the last time we did this hike!!!
There will be options to shorten or lengthen the hike as desired.
Meeting Locations: Meet at the Conewago Day Use area
