All are welcome to come on out on a hike to see what the club is all about.
A welcome sheet is handed out at every hike. This sheet has all you need to join and get on the mailing list.

SUNDAY, AUGUST 7 – LONG HIKE (12 – 14 MILES): We'll hike from Swatara Park at Appalachian Trail to see gorgeous Rausch gap w/ waterfalls, see old mining town ruins, Old Gold Mine Cemetery, the General and more. Wear good hiking shoes, bring plenty of water, lunch, bug spray for woods, snacks for a fun day exploring Sharp Mt. This is mild hike depending on your ability- no rock climbs or steep hills. Hope to see you then!

York County Pawpaw Festival at the Horn Farm

SATURDAY, AUGUST 13, SHORT HIKE (3 MILES): Hollow Creek Greenway should be a cool shady evening walk.

Sunday, August 21 - Short Hike (4 miles): Starting in Parkton, MD. We will head south on the Torrey C. Brown rail trail. Most of the packed-gravel trail is aligned in a forested strip with a few open areas scattered here and there. The trail is flat, so you won’t have to watch your footing, and will be able to enjoy the flowers, wildlife and a creek running alongside the trail.

SATURDAY, AUGUST 27 – LONG HIKE (10 MILES): We will hike from Glen Rock to New Freedom and back to Glen Rock. The trail offers shade and lots to see. Since we are on the rail trail, we don’t need special equipment, good shoes, plenty of water, and possibly a snack should be enough. At New Freedom (mile 5) we can rest at the Rail Trail Café before heading back.
