SATURDAY, APRIL 2 SHORT HIKE (7 MILES) - We’ll hike the Chevrolet Trail at Patapsco State Park. It has some unique features from damage caused by Hurricane Agnes in the 70's. It's beautiful. Mostly along the river. But changes throughout. This trail has some inclines but not severe. Bring good hiking shoes/boots, snack, water. Lunch option after.

SUNDAY, APRIL 10 SHORT HIKE (3 MILES): We will meet in the parking lot on Sparton Road, just off Hess Farm Road. From there we will walk on the road for a short distance to connect with trail #5 and enjoy a walk around part of Lake Redman, passing through the bird sanctuary toward the end of the hike. This hike is approximately 3 miles with a few short, mild climbs along the way. Come out and join us for a stroll through a very pretty area of York County. If it’s raining, please call ahead to confirm we are still on.

SUNDAY, APRIL 17 LONG HIKE (13 MILES): We’ll start on the far west side of Greenbrier State Park in Maryland. After hiking some of the park trails, we’ll hike to the AT via a connector trail and head north to Annapolis Rocks. We will visit the overlook and check out a few side trails. The return to the vehicles will be on different trails within the park. For those meeting at the park the parking lot address is roughly 8134 Mountain Laurel Rd, Boonsboro, MD 21713. If you park in the main lot, we will never find you. Maryland does charge a parking fee so carpooling is encouraged.

SUNDAY APRIL 24-FLOWER HIKE AND COVERED DISH MEAL (SHORT HIKE): The Harbinger of spring wildflowers came up in March leading the start of spring wildflowers. Each spring we hike by the Susquehanna River and count the multitude of flowers on the riverbank. Quite a display awaits our eyes this year as usual. There will be a short hike starting at 10: 30 AM counting how many flowers we can find. Anyone wanting to go on a longer hike at 10:30 is welcome to do so. At 1:30 we will have our covered dish repast. Please call Sarah to tell what covered dish you would like to bring so we don’t get just all deserts…although some might think that would be good eating…we need variety in our life.
