All are welcome to come on out on a hike to see what the club is all about.
A welcome sheet is handed out at every hike. This sheet has all you need to join and get on the mailing list.

Sunday, April 6, Short Hike: 3.5-4 miles, Rocky Ridge Park
We will hike to the white trail near the power lines for approximately 1 mile, then another mile through the woods along rocky areas to the overlook, then proceed to the teal trail, which will cross a small stream and eventually bring us back to the parking lot. There will be an optional bonus of 1.7 miles on red trail at the end for those interested in longer hike. Small hills, but very rocky. Hiking shoes and poles recommended.

SATURDAY, APRIL 12, AT WORK TRIP: Please come out and help us maintain our section of the Appalachian
Trail. We need all the help we can get.
Meet ant the Clark’s Ferry Parking lot by the railroad tracks at 9 A.M. Hike Leader: David Strine 717-858-2089
SUNDAY, APRIL 13- FLOWER HIKE AND CHILI DINNER (SHORT HIKE); Each spring we hike by the Susquehanna River and count the multitude of beautiful blue bells and trout lilies, etc. on the river bank. Quite a display awaits our eyes as usual. There will be a short hike starting at 10:30 AM counting and naming how many flowers we can find. Anyone wanting to go on a longer hike at 10:30 is welcome to do so. Our mid-winter chili hike meal had to be canceled due to the weather. So now we will have our Flower-Chili Hike dinner prepared by Chef Bernie Frick! Please call Bernie Frick for dinner reservations by Thursday, April 10, 9:00PM. Chili will have beef or turkey.

SATURDAY: APRIL 19: Come along for a leisurely walk along the Susquehanna River on the Turkey Hill Enola low- grade rail trail. Walking fast or slow 2 to 5 miles and still enjoy the day. We might even see the eagles.
Meet at the far end parking area at 1 o’clock Easter Saturday April 19th.
From route 30 go south on 441 approximately 5 miles until you come to the Enola low-grade area on your right.

SUNDAY, APRIL 27, SHORT HIKE OF 4 MILES. Susquehanna River lands State Park. Hike starts at the trail head parking lot on Forge Lane. We will hike out to Schulls Rock (Elev: 427’) overlook of the Susquehanna River (N&S). There we should see some Eagles and nests. Looking North the Cooling towers of TMI. Hiking back to trail head, onto the parking area down at the Codorus Creek, 1/4 mile from the Susquehanna River.Trail can be muddy...wear hiking shoes, bring water and snacks.
MEETING TIME & LOCATION: 1:30 at Boscov's East Parking lot
or 2:00 at Trailhead parking lot. DIRECTIONS: Tower Rd. To Furnace Rd., turn LEFT onto Furnace Road to entrance of Susquehanna River land State Park on right. (Forge Lane) Sign at entrance. Follow road past first parking area to trailhead parking of left.
