SUNDAY, JUNE 5 LONG HIKE (13
MILES) - This will be a point-to-point hike along one of my favorite trails,
the Tuscarora, but with a twist. We’ll hike a rugged and dry section from
Colonel Denning State Park to RT 74 (Waggoners Gap). There will be a couple of
fine views at Flat Rock and the Charlie Irvin Shelter and a big climb in the
beginning. Lots of rocks, probably some pokey things and a secret airplane crash
site.
Meeting Location: Emigsville Park and Ride, North
End meeting place Exit 24 route 83 Park and ride Lot N/E Corner Departure
Time: 7:00 AM

SUNDAY, JUNE 12 MEDIUM HIKE (8 MILES): On this adventure we'll explore

unique mural at PA 850 turnaround. Guess what mural is made from? Then lunch at
shelter (where Tuscarora Trail begins) on return trip and again through a cool
tunnel under PA 944! Bring plenty of water, lunch, snacks, wear sturdy hiking
shoes. Those wishing a shorter hike can park car at RT 850 parking lot for one
